Raipur, June 30, 2026: To increase the irrigation percentage in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh, the state government today sanctioned Rs 51.6 crore for the Gharjiyabandhan Reservoir Project.
The State Water Resources Department has sanctioned today Rs 51.6 crore for the Gharjiyabandhan Reservoir Scheme in Pathalgaon block of Jashpur district, official sources said.
After the completion of the irrigation project a total of 2064 hectare of land under the Rabi and Kharif crop will be irrigated, they said.
For the execution of the project, including the construction work, administrative approval has been sanctioned to the Chief Engineer, Hasdeo-Ganga Basin of the Water Resources Department Ambikapur, the sources said.
