Raipur, October 05, 2026: Taking a major step towards becoming a key hub of India’s digital economy, Chhattisgarh secured Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) commitments worth Rs 43,250 crore today at the inaugural Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026 held in Singapore.

This includes a significant investment commitment of Rs 41,750 crore for an AI-ready data center campus.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai led the state’s delegation at the forum, where Chhattisgarh participated upon the nomination of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

This major investment commitment comes from Singapore-headquartered Energy Capital Global Private Limited, which will establish a 100 MW capacity AI-ready data center campus in Chhattisgarh.

Energy Capital Global develops and finances AI-ready data centers powered by on-site clean energy across the Asia-Pacific region, with operations in Singapore, India, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and Australia. The Chief Minister handed over an ‘Invitation to Invest’ to the company at the forum.

This investment commitment further accelerates the growing activity in Chhattisgarh’s digital sector. The state is already home to India’s first AI data center park. Together, these projects are establishing Chhattisgarh as an emerging hub for India’s digital infrastructure.

Stanislav Borisov, CEO of Energy Capital Global, said, “The energy, land, and political will required for AI infrastructure are available in Chhattisgarh today. This MoU marks the beginning of a long-term partnership. We are excited to move forward with developing the largest AI-ready data center campus in Central India, bringing international capital and expertise to the state, and training Chhattisgarh’s engineers to operate it.”

The state also received a Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) proposal worth Rs 1,500 crore from Sunstream Green Energy Private Limited for the solar sector, as well as for associated battery storage and components.

Chief Minister Sai stated that these investment commitments are a testament to the confidence placed in Chhattisgarh’s policies, potential, and people.

He remarked that this would create new opportunities for the state’s youth and help bring Chhattisgarh closer to the goal of a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ (Viksit Chhattisgarh).

Sai also participated in a fireside chat with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, moderated by the Singapore Business Federation.

Effectively presenting Chhattisgarh’s case, he said, “We do not bring about reforms through closed-door discussions. We directly ask the industry about their challenges and modify our systems accordingly. Over 450 reforms have already been implemented, and this ‘Reform Express’ will not stop until the people themselves say that no further reforms are needed.”

He noted that this combination of reforms, a progressive industrial policy, and a proactive government has enabled Chhattisgarh to attract investment proposals worth over Rs 8 lakh crore in just 18 months.

Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State at Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Trade and Industry, attended the forum as the chief guest. Her presence underscored the importance Singapore places on deepening economic ties with Indian states. Senior leadership from global companies, including Mastercard, IHCL (Taj Hotels), and Nestlé, also addressed the event.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Chief Minister held separate meetings with Aquatech and Adroit Overseas Private Limited. These discussions focused on infrastructure related to industrial wastewater reuse and the vast opportunities for food processing in Chhattisgarh.

Tomorrow, on October 6, the Chief Minister will meet with the top leadership of leading Singaporean companies and investment institutions at the CEO Roundtable, aiming to build upon the investment momentum generated by the forum.
