Korba, April 14, 2011: Home Minister of Chhattisgarh Nanki Ram Kanwar today stern action would be initiated against the management of the Bhilai Steel Plant if it was found during investigation that they were responsible for the suicide of four female members of a former employee.
During interaction the BSP management had said they never had any scheme to provide job on compensatory ground, but during investigation if that was found incorrect, stern action would be taken against the BSP, Home Minister Kanwar told reporters here.
However, he disapproved the decision of the Sunil Gupta family of a mass suicide.
On April 12 last four women of a family consumed poison and died after they unsuccessfully struggled for 17 years for a job on compensatory ground at the Bhilai Steel Plant after the death of the family head in a mysterious condition. The head of the family was working in the BSP.
