Dantewada, May 06, 2013: Former Home Minister and senior BJP Leader Lal Krishna Advani today flagged off the ambitious Vikas Yatra-2013 of the Raman Singh government in Chhattisgarh.
“I am happy that Chhattisgarh is progressing well under the Chief Ministership of Dr Raman Singh,” Advani said while flagging off the ambitious Vikas Yatra of the state BJP government months ahead of the Assembly election.
In the presence of Singh and a host of other party leaders, Advani also launched the bonus distribution scheme of the state BJP government. The state government plans to distribute Rs 1900 crore to he farmers as bonus for purchase of paddy during the Vikas Yatra.
In six phases, the Yatra would be of 40 days from May 6 to June 15.
It would cover 6100 kilometres, out of which 3300 Km would be by air and 2800 km via roads and would cover 81 of the 90 assembly segments of the state.
Development is a continuous process and he was happy to see the shining faces of the people of Chhattisgarh after his government had implemented several welfare schemes for all sections of the society, the Chief Minister said.
