     Raipur, April 27, 2009: Amid elaborate security arrangements, repolling in 25 booths of Chhattisgarh were started today with a peaceful note.

     After Maoists looted Electronic Voting Machines, booth capture or other irregularities were reported from 25 places on April 16, the Election Commission of India had ordered for repelling in those places, the state election office sources said.

      Except one firing incident near one of the polling booth of Bijapur district, voting was started in a peaceful note in rest of the places, spread over three parliamentary constituencies and eight assembly segments, the sources said.

      Among the booths went to poll today were Jaipur of Baikunthpur segment of Korba seat, Belgaon and Pitemeta booths of Dongargarh and Mohla-Manpur segments respectively and also Kusumkasa and Salhekusumkasha of Khujji segment of Rajnandgaon seat.

     Korhobeda, Padeli, Khadpadi, Kormel, Kadenar, Becha of Narayanpur segment, Mutanpal, Burgum, Karekot and Karka of Chitrakote segment, Handabada, Bhatpal, Jangampal, Badegadam, Alnar, Kalepal, Nilabaya, Tikanpal-1 and Tikanpal-2 of Dantewada segment and Maroki of Konta segment, all under Bastar seat, went to repoll today.
