Raipur, June 23, 2024: Chhattisgarh Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ram Vichar Netam today met the state Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan.
Minister Netam, also a senior and influential tribal leader, met the Governor at Raj Bhavan here, official sources said.
Both discussed various issues pertaining to the state and nation, sources said.
The Minister also briefed the Governor steps his Ministry is taking for the welfare of the farmers of the state, sources added.
One of the main focus of the state BJP government is on farmers and strengthening their economic and social status, Netam said.
In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, it is believed farmers in certain pockets of the country were not happy with the BJP and voted against the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Yesterday only the Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai met the Governor Harichandan.
The Chief Minister said he had briefed the Governor about the current situation of the state.
The Chief Minister also briefed the Governor about the Khariff season and availability of seeds and fertilisers in the state.
