Ahead of IPL, Raman changes Sports Secretary

     Raipur, February 05, 2013: Ahead of the proposed IPL Cricket match at Raipur international cricket stadium, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today shifted an honest officer K Subramaniam and posted Rajendra Prasad Mandal as the new Principal Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare.

     Subramaniam, an IFS officer, would only continue as the Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, a state government order said here.

      However, Mandal has been given the charge of Sports and Youth Welfare as additional charges.

     The government has not cited any reason for this decision although the IFS is known as an honest officer.

     On the other hand Mandal is known as a great cricket fan.
