Raipur, April 16, 2016: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today assured Chhattisgarh of all possible help to combat Maoism.
The Union Home Minister chaired a high level meeting here on Maoist issue, which was attended among others by state Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Advisor to Union Home Ministry K Vijay Kumar, Chief Secretary Vivek Kumar Dhand, Public Relations Secretary Santosh Mishra, Director General of Police A N Upadhyaya, Special DG D M Awasthi and senior officials from CRPF, ITBP and other forces.
Maoist is a grave challenge to the democracy and the Union Government is determined to provide all possible helps to Chhattisgarh and other states to combat the situation, said Rajnath.
Morale of both the state and the central forces, deployed in Chhattisgarh, are high and with all sincerity they have been performing their duties, he said.
Union Home Minister also reviewed the progress of Maoists operation in the state as well as the developmental works.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said Centre was providing all assistance to the state to root out Maoist from here.
The Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister for their help in that direction.
