Raipur, September 4, 2009: In an attempt to strengthen bilateral relations with India and promote mutual understanding, an American delegation would be on a three day tour of Chhattisgarh from September 9.
American Center, Mumbai, was inviting the city of Raipur and Bhilai to “America Days” as a US diplomat was travelling to those places from September 9 to 11 to share a slice of America and promote mutual understanding, an American Centre, Mumbai release said today.
To build a stronger partnership between the two nations, based on common interests, shared values, and mutual respect, a delegation, led by Torrey Goad, Assistant Information Officer for the US Embassy in New Delhi, would visit Raipur and Bhilai from September 9, it said.
During the visit Goad would speak on US Higher Education, Indo-US relations and American initiatives in tackling climate change, at various venues in Raipur and Bhilai.
The Hindi dubbed American documentary film “An Inconvenient Truth” would also be screened at Sankalp Deaddiction Centre, Raipur on September 11 for the public, it said.
