     Rajnandgaon, November 15, 2009: Jointly the Governments of India and Chhattisgarh have set up four centres in the state to promote apparel designing, officials said today.

     With the help of Apparel Export Promotion Council, an Apparel Training and Designers Centre had been set up in Rajnandgaon district.

     The initial expenditure of the Centre would be Rs 1.7 Crore and about one acre land had been allotted to the institute at Pendri to have its own infrastructure, officials said.

     This would be the fourth such centre in the state after Raipur, Bhilai and Bilaspur where as at the national level it would be the 53rd, they said.

     This centre would impart training on cutting of clothes, tailoring, sewing and other related things.
