Raipur, March 01, 2016: Chhattisgarh Governor Balramjee Das Tandon today told the state assembly the image of the state has improved because of better plans and policies.
Chhattisgarh has achieved the image of a speedily progressing state of the nation, Tandon said on the inaugural day of the Budget session of Chhattisgarh.
The governor said the state government has taken all steps to provide relief to farmers and rural sectors during the drought condition.
Whether irrigation or providing safe drinking water, the state government has allotted huge amount of budgetary allocation, he said adding for every 67 people of the state, there is one hand pump.
The budget session was started today, which is likely to be stormy as opposition Congress wanted to raise several issues.
