CM Sai inspects solar system installed under PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme

     Raipur, January 17, 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today visited the residence of Rajkumari Dwivedi, a resident of Sarna Para, Parri in Surajpur block, and inspected the solar system installed under the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme.

     The Chief Minister inquired about the solar panels installed on the roof of the house and the associated technical systems, and closely observed the on-ground implementation of the scheme.

     On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai had a cordial conversation with Dwivedi and her family members and inquired in detail about the benefits they were receiving from the scheme.

     The family members informed him that after the installation of the solar system, regular availability of electricity has been ensured, and there has been a significant reduction in household electricity expenses, providing them with financial relief.

     The Chief Minister also inquired about the savings in electricity bills through solar energy, the convenience in daily use, and their experiences with energy self-reliance. He said that this scheme is not only empowering common citizens economically but is also promoting environmental protection and the use of clean energy.

     Sai said that the objective of the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme is to provide clean, affordable, and sustainable energy to every eligible family. This scheme is a powerful means of reducing dependence on electricity and advancing the country and the state towards green energy. The government wants more and more families to join this scheme and become self-reliant in the energy sector.

     The Chief Minister instructed the officials to ensure quality, transparency, and timeliness in the implementation of the scheme so that eligible beneficiaries can avail of its benefits without any difficulty. He said that the state government is working with full commitment to translate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of clean energy and Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) into reality.
