BJP leaders to meet EOW DG against Highway corruption

     Raipur, November 23, 2022: Chhattisgarh BJP leaders would march up to the Vigilance Department headquarters here tomorrow demanding an investigation on the irregularities in beautification works at the national highway between Teli Bandha to Airport Road.

     The beautification works were carried out without any proper tender notification and to press for a detailed investigation into the entire multi-crore scam, the BJP word members of Raipur Municipal Corporation and others would march up to the headquarters of the Economic Offence Wing, BJP sources said today.

    The delegation would meet the DG EOW D M Awasthi and demand a detailed probe into the entire matter, BJP leaders said.

     Led by BJP Raipur city President Jayanti Patel, elected representatives, party leaders and workers would march up to Anti-Corruption Bureau HQ, they said.

     After the works were nearly completed the authorities had issued tender notices for the said works, prompting the BJP to stage demonstration against the alleged scam and ever since the main opposition had been demanding action against the people, involved in that.
