Raipur, November 23, 2022: Ruling Congress today demanded the BJP to explain what it had done in its 15-years rule for the amelioration of the other backward caste or for the reservation quota of the OBC in Chhattisgarh.
“Let BJP explain what were its efforts during 15 years rule towards the reservation quota for OBC in the state,” PCC Spokesman Surendra Verma said here today.
Bhupesh Baghel government is committed to give quota reservations to various communities as per their populations, Verma said and questioned the efforts of the previous government led by Dr Raman Singh to ensure reservation to OBC in the state.
The Chhabilal Patel commission for Quantifiable data had collected actual data from the field and was verified from other documents and sources, he said.
This would be tabled in the state assembly for a detailed discussion, he said
The Congress leader alleged that the BJP was always against reservation and now shedding crocodile tears on the issue of OBC reservation when Congress has been engaged in serious and sincere works on the issue.
