Raipur, November 23, 2022: Former IAS Ashok Agrawal today retired as the Information Commissioner of Chhattisgarh.
Agrawal joined as Information Commissioner on November 24, 2017 after his retirement from IAS.
During his 5 years tenure, Agrawal said, he had disposed of a record 8506 RTI cases.
He also called upon the two Information Commissioners, Manoj Trivedi and Dhanwendra Jaiswal, to dispose of as many cases as possible.
Work like a team to achieve success for the Information Commission of the state, Agrawal told a function, which was organised to give him a warm send off.
On November 11 last Chief Information Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Manmath Kumar Raut had also retired.
A former IAS Raut had joined Chhattisgarh Information Commission on December 13, 2017.
The state government has not yet named any one in place of Raut and Agrawal.
