Raipur, November 14, 2016: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh will present the second supplementary budget in the Winter session of state Assembly, which will commence from tomorrow and Congress camp was in hectic consultation to make it stormy by raising series of issues starting from custodial death of Dalit to false police cases in the name of Maoism.
Winter session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly will be started from tomorrow and would continue till November 21, during which the House will take up both the financial and legislative works, Chhattisgarh Assembly Principal Secretary Devendra Verma told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the second Supplementary Budget on Wednesday and the house would discuss and pass that along with the appropriation bill on Thursday.
Similarly the Chief Minister will reply to the questions of his General Administration, Finance, Information Technology, Public Relations, Mines, Energy and Civil Aviation Departments on November 21,the closing date of the session, Assembly officials said.
Despite divided in groups, main Opposition Congress was involved in a hectic consultation with its MLAs to put up a strong opposition to the ruling BJP government and wanted to highlight the issues of both the state and the decision taken by the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.
“We will bring in Adjournment motions against the Raman government. There was custodial death of a Dalit youth in Janjgir-Champa district and in Bastar and Sarguja regions the tribals are being killed of various reasons,” Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Assembly Tribhubaneswar Sharan ( TS) Singhdeo told ChhattisgarhTopNews.
“Situation in Bastar is worst and in the name of Maoist, innocent people are being harassed or killed by the security agencies. The CBI has also filed a chargesheet for the arson and violence in three villages of Bastar by the security forces. And also on the Maoist front the government has violated all norms,” stated Singhdeo.
Besides larger issues confronted the state, there are important issues pertaining to constituency and all those things will be raised through various motions, including adjournment and call attention motions, the senior Congress leader said adding the burning issue of demonetization and suffering of the people of the state due to chaos would also be given priority.
It will be interesting to see how the Ajit Jogi camp would behave inside the house, as after junior Jogi, Amit was expelled from the party, another close confidant legislature R K Rai was also recently expelled from Congress and another MLA was served notice for his closeness to Jogi camp.
