Raipur, November 18, 2022: In an attempt to consolidate its position, BJP today appointed senior party leader Brijmohan Agrawal as the in-charge for the December 5 Bhanupratappur assembly by-election.

Former Minister Brijmohan Agrawal has been appointed today as in-charge by the state President Arun Sao for the by-poll, State BJP sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.

The general election is going to be held within a year and BJP wanted to give an impressive fight in Bhanupratappur, the sources said adding looking into his experience and working style, the party has appointed Agrawal as the in-charge of the by-poll.

Following the death of three-time Congress MLA Manoj Singh Mandavi on October 16 after a massive cardiac arrest, the by-poll is being conducted on December 5.

While Congress has fielded Savitri, widow of Manoj Mandavi, BJP preferred Brahmanand Netam, a former MLA as its candidate.
