     Raipur, February 14, 2010: Raman Singh Government would table its seventh consecutive Budget on February 22, Speaker Dharam Lal Kaushik said today.

    Addressing a Press Conference at the assembly premise, Speaker Kaushik said, since Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh is holding the Finance portfolio, he would table the annual budget for the financial year 2010-2011.

    After a long gap, the budget session of the 90-member state assembly was starting tomorrow, he said.

     Although the Budget session was convened from January 11 to March 26 but on January 15, the Speaker adjourned the Assembly for about a month after a brief session.

      This session has been divided into three parts and ends on March 26. The initial brief session of five days was started on January 11 with the address by Governor ESL Narasimhan and ended on January 15.

     There would not have any sitting between January 16 and February 14.

     The second part of the sittings would be on February 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26.

     There would not again be sittings from February 27 to March 7.

     However, the last part of the session would be from March 8 and also on 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 25 and 26.

     Instead of separate Winter and Budget sessions, the Assembly authorities had decided to club together both of them and the current session would have 29 days sittings, assembly sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
