Raipur, February 15, 2010: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and most of his cabinet colleagues and BJP MLAs took cycle to protest the rise in prices of essential commodities in Chhattisgarh.
Blaming the Congress led Government at the Centre of responsible for the rice in prices, the Chief Minister and his party MLAs took out a cycle rally.
The rally was started from the official residence of the PWD Minister Brij Mohan Agrawal at Shankar Nagar and covered about 11 Km to reach the state Assembly to participate in the day’s proceeding.
The incident drew a large gathering of onlookers as the entire Government was seen riding cycle to highlight their political issue of price rise.
However, the Congress called it a drama.
Former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com that the state BJP Government was not serious towards controlling price rise and only wanted to create gimmick to gain cheap popularity.
