     Raipur, November 03, 2015: Chhattisgarh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, today included 17 more tehsils as drought affected.

      With that a total of 110 tehsils have been declared drought hit in the state this year looking into the prevailing condition.

      Per hectare the farmers would now be provide relief foe which the Cabinet took a decision today, Revenue Minister Prem Prakash Pandey said.

     The farmers of the non-irrigated areas would be provided a compensation of Rs 6800 per hectare and in the irrigated areas, the compensation amount is fixed as Rs 9000 per hectare, Pandey said.

      The cabinet also approved a proposal to set up Fire and Emergency Service in the state.

      A new Food Processing Policy was also approved by the cabinet.

      The service of 108 Sanjeevani Express has been extended by six more months.
