Caste Certificate in English, Hindi

     Raipur, June 22, 2011: Government of India has issued instruction to all states to issue caste certificate in the official language of the state besides English and Hindi.

     After getting instruction from the Centre, Chhattisgarh government has issued a similar instruction to all Commissioners and District Collectors.

     A General Administration Department circular asked all the Sub divisional officers (Revenue) and Tehsildars through the Commissioners and District Collectors to strictly follow that instruction.

     A Parliamentary Committee had in its report to the Department of Personnel and Training recommended uniformity in words in the caste certificate and that should be issued in the official language of the state besides Hindi and English, officials said.

     Accepting that recommendation, the Department of Personnel and Training has asked all the Chief Secretaries to implement those recommendations, they added.
