Raipur, February 28, 2011: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today termed as directionless the central budget, presented by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for the fiscal 2011-12 in Lok Sabha today.
“Like Didi (Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee) Dada (Pranab Mukherjee) has also disappointed the country,” Singh said in his reaction to the Union budget.
There was nothing for the poor in the budget, when millions of poor, labourers, farmers and women had a great expectation from the Central budget, he said.
The budget was silent on checking inflation, loan to farmers with three per cent interest rate, and how to deal with unemployment, the Chief Minister said adding it was a directionless budget.
