Raipur, January 13, 2014: Government of India today sanctioned a Rs 222 crore project to connect 32 cities of the state through city buses, official sources said today.
In fact, the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh had send a proposal to Union Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath worth Rs 222 crore to improve passenger traffic system, officials said.
The Centre today approved that proposal for rapid and improved traffic system, the sources said.
With that, the Centre has sanctioned 442 buses, which will ply between 32 cities of the state, they said.
Of the 442 buses some would be AC and some non-AC buses and would be of medium in size, they added.
