Raipur, August 16, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has received a special invitation to attend the prestigious World Expo 2025 being held from 13 April for 184 days in Yumeshima, Osaka in Japan.
This time the theme of World Expo 2025 is ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’ and its sub-themes are ‘Saving lives’, ‘Empowering lives’ and ‘Connecting lives’. More than 160 countries and 9 international organizations are participating in this event.
Chhattisgarh is also ready to make its unique identity on the world stage. Chhattisgarh will showcase its heritage and development journey in the World Expo 2025, being held from 13 April to 13 October 2025 in Yumeshima, Osaka of Japan.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has received a special invitation to this prestigious event. Chief Minister Sai said that Chhattisgarh’s participation will not only showcase the cultural and technological advancements of the state on the global platform, but will also firmly establish Chhattisgarh on the world map of industrial development.

He said that Chhattisgarh will also further strengthen its identity as an investment-friendly business hub.
The World Expo, organised by the Bureau International des Expositions, is considered a leading platform for global dialogue on innovation and sustainable development. The broad concept of the Osaka Expo is “People’s Living Lab”, which reflects the spirit of global innovation and co-creation.
India is showcasing its major achievements at this expo. The Indian Pavilion titled “Bharat Mandap” is a confluence of ancient Indian knowledge and modern innovation. Here yoga sessions, Bharatnatyam performances, screening of Bollywood films and a special Chandrayaan zone depicting India’s space journey are the center of attraction for the audience.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh has already won the hearts of the global audience through its world famous Dhokra art. This metal art displayed under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative has fascinated everyone with its unique craftsmanship.
Now Chhattisgarh will set up its state level stall at the huge expo site located at Konohanaku, Yumeshima Island, Osaka. Chhattisgarh has got this opportunity on the invitation of the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) of the Government of India.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, Chhattisgarh will showcase its rich cultural heritage and modern progress. On this occasion, Chhattisgarh is also collaborating with the Ministry of Steel, Government of India.
Chief Minister Sai reiterated that the presence of Chhattisgarh will give new recognition to the achievements of the state in the World Expo 2025 and will establish it as an emerging investment destination on the map of global industrial development.
