Chhattisgarh, right place for Community Radio: CPR

     Raipur, April 07, 2012: Commissioner Public Relations N Baijendra Kumar today said Chhattisgarh has a lot of potential for Community Radio.

     The low cost Community Radio has a lot of potential in Chhattisgarh, Baijendra Kumar told newly recruited information officers of his Department here during a training programme.

     The Community Radio scheme was gaining popularity in states like Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh, because of its low budget scheme and direct interaction with the listeners, the senior IAS officer said.

     He also underlined the importance of linking the traditional media with the technology oriented media to reach out to the masses with the welfare schemes of the state government.
