Raipur, July 06, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today emphasised that the well-organised development of Nava Raipur is the first priority of the government. In future, the settlement in Nava Raipur will increase further, so it is necessary that the civic amenities here should also be expanded according to the upcoming needs.
While reviewing the works of the Housing and Environment Department, the Chief Minister said that the well-organized development of Nava Raipur is the first priority of the government. And planned development will be done in the Nava Raipur area keeping in mind the future needs.
The Chief Minister enquired about the works being conducted under the Nava Raipur Development Authority and gave necessary guidelines to the officials.

Nava Raipur is the most modern and beautiful capital of the country. Top educational institutions like IIM, IIIT, and National Law University have been established here. In future, the settlement in Nava Raipur will increase further, so it is necessary that the civic amenities here should also be expanded according to the upcoming needs, he said.
Sai discussed about the expansion of rail connectivity in Nava Raipur area and gave necessary instructions to the officials.
The Government of India will construct the new Parmalkasa – Kharsia railway line through Balodabazar district. The Chief Minister expressed his intention to connect this rail line to Nava Raipur and said that this will expand rail facilities in Nava Raipur and the common citizens will get its benefit.
He stressed the need to build a logistics hub in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar to encourage import and export along with the construction of an expressway connecting Visakhapatnam under the Bharat Mala project.
Officials said that the construction of the expressway passing through Chhattisgarh is almost 95 per cent completed. With its construction, the distance from Raipur to Visakhapatnam will be reduced by 100 km.
The Chief Minister said that a large number of investors are being attracted by the new industrial policy of the state. This will provide employment to the youth here.
The Chief Minister also inquired about the plantation and growth of Peepal, Banyan, Karanj, Neem, Ashoka, Amaltas, Gulmohar etc. plants under the construction of Oxygen Zone in Nava Raipur area.
In the meeting, the officials informed that there is a plan to construct a Commission Building Complex in the future in Nava Raipur area for various commissions-boards-corporations of the state government. Apart from this, there is a proposal to establish a working women hostel, 100 bed hospital, and another new police station in Nava Raipur for working women.

The Chief Minister said that the land allotted for the construction of new buildings in Nava Raipur area should be used properly.
Sai also reviewed the work of Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board, Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Town and Country Planning, Chhattisgarh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), Raipur Development Authority included under the Housing and Environment Department and gave necessary instructions to the officials.
Finance and Housing Environment Minister O P Choudhary, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, Secretary Housing and Environment Ankit Anand, CEO of NRDA Chandan Kumar, Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Housing Board Avnish Sharan, CEO of Raipur Development Authority Akash Chikkara and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
