Jagdalpur, February 17, 2026: To showcase Bastar’s rich cultural heritage and tourism on the global stage, the two-day Chitrakote Mahotsav-2026 will be held tomorrow on the banks of the world-famous Chitrakote Falls.
Organised in collaboration with the state government and the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, the inaugural ceremony of this silver jubilee will be held at the Chitrakote Falls Ground.
Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap will be the chief guest, while Bastar MP Mahesh Kashyap will preside over the event. Jagdalpur MLA and BJP State President Kiran Singh Deo and Chitrakote MLA Vinayak Goyal will be the special guests at the event.
Officials stated that this festival is an effort to showcase Bastar’s rich cultural heritage and tourism on the global stage.
This festival will not only be a confluence of art and culture, but will also feature performances by local folk artists and school children, as well as sports competitions such as kabaddi and volleyball.
