CM Sai discusses aid for Assam flood victims with Assam CM; Chhattisgarh to provide Rs 5 crore

     Raipur, August 09, 2026: Amidst the severe situation caused by floods in Assam, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, driven by the spirit of humanitarian concern and inter-state cooperation, has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 5 crore to help the flood-affected people.

     CM Sai spoke to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over the phone today to inquire about the flood situation in the state.

     Expressing deep sympathy for the families affected by the floods, he stated that in this difficult time of natural calamity, the people of Chhattisgarh stand in complete solidarity with their brothers and sisters in Assam.

     This amount will be provided to support the ongoing relief and rehabilitation operations in Assam, official sources said.
