Rajnandgaon, June 22, 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai gifted 333 development projects worth over Rs 510.89 crore to Rajnandgaon district today.
He also announced significant projects, including a suspension bridge from the Shivnath River’s Mohara fair site to the Oxygen Zone, the construction and conservation of the Ira Anicut, the construction of the Kumarda-Gendatola-Kallubanjari road, and the renovation of the Ghumariya diversion scheme.

Addressing the ‘Progressive Farmers’ Conference’ and the inauguration-cum-foundation stone laying ceremony held at the State High School ground in Rajnandgaon, he stated that the prosperity of farmers, the development of villages, and the provision of better amenities to citizens are the state government’s top priorities. With this resolve, the state government is translating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantees into reality and writing new chapters of development and good governance in the state.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh was specially present on this occasion.

The Chief Minister stated that Rajnandgaon district has done remarkable work in the fields of crop rotation and water conservation. Farmers here have been encouraged to cultivate pulses, oilseeds, and other profitable crops alongside traditional farming, yielding positive results.
Sai announced that starting from the Kharif 2026 season, farmers, who cultivate pulses, oilseeds, or other crops instead of paddy under the ‘Krishak Unnati Yojana’ will receive an input assistance of Rs 15,000 per acre. This will incentivize crop diversification and boost farmers’ incomes.

The Chief Minister stated that financial security is being provided to farmers through schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Krishak Unnati Yojana, paddy procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP), and other farmer-friendly initiatives. The state government is also committed to ensuring the timely availability of fertilizers and seeds required for farming.
He stated that the state government has launched the ‘CM Helpline 1076′ to strengthen good governance, allowing citizens to register their grievances and receive resolutions within a stipulated timeframe. Similarly, through the e-District system, over 400 services from various departments—including income, caste, and domicile certificates—are being made available right at citizens’ doorsteps.

Sai mentioned that relief is being provided to needy consumers through the ‘Mukhyamantri Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana’ (Chief Minister’s Electricity Bill Resolution Scheme). Meanwhile, efforts are underway to provide long-term relief from electricity bills to the general public through the ‘Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana’ (Prime Minister’s Rooftop Solar Free Electricity Scheme). He urged people to install rooftop solar panels in their homes.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government’s goal is not merely to execute development projects but to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every family. In line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision, the reach of housing, electricity, water, road, and digital services is being rapidly expanded.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that Padma Shri Phoolbasan Bai Yadav undertook a remarkable initiative; she traveled with women from self-help groups during the scorching afternoons of April and May to raise awareness among farmers and villagers about crop rotation and water conservation. The shift in crop rotation patterns in Rajnandgaon has motivated farmers to adopt crop diversification.
During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the district administration and ABIS Exports for the procurement of farmers’ soybean produce.
Progressive farmers, ‘Krishi Sakhi’ volunteers, Sarpanchs, and Rural Agricultural Extension Officers were felicitated on the occasion, and ‘mini-kits’ were distributed to farmers to encourage crop diversification.
Dignitaries present at the event included District In-charge Minister Gajendra Yadav, MP Santosh Pandey, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Chairman Nilu Sharma, and Chhattisgarh Labour Welfare Board Chairman Yogesh Dutt Mishra, among others.
