Raipur, January 17, 2026: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today visited the residence of Kalicharan, a beneficiary of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, in Surajpur district.
He inspected the newly constructed house and had a cordial interaction with the family.
The beneficiary and his family were overwhelmed by the Chief Minister’s visit to their home. In a relaxed and affectionate atmosphere, Sai spoke with the family, inquiring about their daily routine, needs, and the positive changes in their lives after receiving the house.

During the conversation, Chief Minister Sai also learned about Kalicharan’s experiences before receiving the house. He listened in detail about the difficulties they faced while living in a mud house, the hardships caused by rain and weather, concerns about security, and social discomfort.
The beneficiary explained that receiving a permanent house has not only made their lives safer but has also increased their self-respect and social standing.
The Chief Minister said that the main objective of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to ensure that no eligible family in the state is deprived of the basic necessity of housing.

He clarified that a permanent house is not just four walls and a roof, but it is the foundation of security, stability, and a dignified life for the family. The government’s priority is to provide timely and quality housing to poor, deprived, and needy families.
Sai said that the state government is implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolution of “Housing for All” with complete commitment. He stated that special attention is being paid to transparency, quality, and eligibility in the implementation of housing schemes so that the benefits reach the right beneficiaries. The government is continuously ensuring that no eligible family is left out.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the beneficiary family and said that the government’s goal is not just to formulate schemes, but to see their direct impact on people’s lives. He instructed the officials to maintain sensitivity, honesty, and promptness in the implementation of all welfare schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, so that the benefits of development reach the last person in society.
