Raipur, November 02, 2024: On Govardhan puja today Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai worshipped cows in the cowshed of CM House and fed them khichdi and jaggery.
The Chief Minister also wished happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state on the Govardhan Puja.
Govardhan Puja is a day to express gratitude to the cow family, Sai said.
Cow family is an important basis of agriculture and public life. Govardhan Puja is a festival of worshiping the cow family as well as taking a pledge to protect and serve the cow family, he said.
The Chief Minister also offered sweets to Bhagwani Yadav, a caretaker of cow in the cowshed, and wished him Govardhan Puja.
Deputy Chief Ministers duo Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma and Sports Minister Tankaram Verma were also present.
