Winning the Bastar Lok Sabha election is a matter of prestige for the BJP as currently PCC President Deepak Baij is the Lok Sabha member from Bastar.

In a recently held meeting Union Home Minister Amit Saha had urged the state party workers and leaders to win all 11 Lok Sabha seats of Chhattisgarh unlike the 2019 election in which BJP had won nine seats where two seats went to Congress, including Baster and Korba.
