     Raipur, August 21, 2015: Senior Congress leaders, led by PCC Chief Bhupesh Baghel, today met the Chhattisgarh Governor Balramjee Das Tandon and demanded action on the Shanti Kashyap issue.

     Baghel later told media outside Raj Bhawan, they have demanded stern action on the issue.

     The PCC Chief Said the Governor told them that the Vice Chancellor of Pandit Sundarlal Sharma Open University, Bilaspur, Bansh Gopal Sharma has also informed the Raj Bhawan that the University had directed the authority to register FIR against Shanti Kashyap and the lady who was appearing examination on her behalf.

      Congress leaders said they also wanted action against the Education Minister Kedar Kashyap as his wife Shanti is allegedly involved in the scandal.

      Pandit Sundarlal Sharma Open University, Bilaspur authority had on August 12 decided to register FIR against the wife of Education Minister Kedar Kashyap and the lady, who appeared on behalf of Kashyap’s wife Shanti in MA English Final Examination.

       Vice Chancellor Bansh Gopal Sharma had also written a letter to the District Superintendent of Police Bastar to lodge FIR against Kashyap and the lady, who had appeared in the examination on behalf of the wife of the state Education Minister.

    At the Lohandiguda Government Higher Secondary School of Bastar District, in the final MA English examination on August 4 last, instead of Shanti Kashyap, someone else had appeared in the exam.

     When officials reached the Centre and started probing the identity of the girl, who was appearing for Shanti, the girl slipped out of the room silently without revealing her original identity.

       Lohandiguda Tehsildar had also reached the School and initiated action on the matter.
