Cong members troop to well, suspended

     Raipur, July 22, 2014: Congress members today entered the well of the Chhattisgarh Assembly on the issue of ration cards.

     Initially the Congress members staged a walk out expressing their displeasure over the reply of Food Minister Punnu Lal Mohle on the issue of verification drive of ration cards.

     Demanding a detailed discussion on the issue, the Congress members raised anti-government slogans and subsequently trooped to the well of the house.

     Since 37 MLAs entered the well of the house, as per the standing rule of the Assembly they were automatically suspended from the house and the tenure of suspension would be subsequently declared by the Speaker,
