     Raipur, February 24, 2011: Main opposition Congress today accused the BJP government Chhattisgarh of not taking sufficient action against the hoarders and price rise and staged a walk out from the state assembly.

     During question hour, former Congress Minister Sakrajit Nayak raised the issue of action against the hoarders by the state government and accused the state government of giving protection to them.

     Through a supplementary question Nand Kumar Patel of Congress wanted to know whether the state government had received any letter from the Centre on taking action against the hoarders and what action it had taken.

     Food Minister Punnu Lal Mohale said the state government indeed received a letter from the Centre and that was forwarded to the district collectors and other officials for action.

     The Minister also said under the Essential Commodities Act the state government had taken action against several business establishments.

      Participating in the issue, Amitesh Shukla, Agni Chandrakar and other Congress members also charged the government of not taking action again the hoardings and Leader of Opposition Ravindra Choubey said instead of taking action against the hoarders the BJP government was giving them protection and under his leadership the MLAs staged a walk out from the state assembly.
