Raipur, July 17, 2010: Congress leaders from Chhattisgarh have urged AICC President Sonia Gandhi to visit the naxal infested state, party leaders said here today.
PCC President Dhanendra Sahu and Congress Legislature party leader Ravindra Choubey met Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence at New Delhi.
Sahu told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com they have invited Gandhi to visit Chhattisgarh.
Choubey said they had discussed with the AICC President on a five point agenda and they had briefed her about the political situation in the state.
However, both the leaders prefer to remain silence on the direction they had got from thier supreme party leader.
However, they said both the leaders, in the presence of party state in charge V Narayan Samy, discussed the naxal situation, functioning of the state BJP government, implementation of the centrally sponsored schemes among others.
