     Kanker, August 29, 2010: A large number of Maoists today targetted for the first time the personnel of the Border Security Force and killed three of them, besides two state police in Durg Kondal police station area of Kanker district in Chhattisgarh.

     In a gun battle with Maoists three BSF personnel, one constable of the district force and a Special Police Officer (SPO) were killed, Kanker police sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.

     In that incident one constable was also injured of bullet injuries, they said.

     The incident took place in Bhuski jungle of Durg Kondal area in the wee hours today, the police said.

     This was said to be the first ever casualty of the BSF in the anti-Maoists operation in Chhattisgarh.
