     Raipur, September 28, 2012: Being a doctor as the head of government in Chhattisgarh, in an important decision the Raman Singh government today decided to convert the centrally located Dau Kalyan Singh Bhawan as a Hospital after the State Secretariat would be shifted to Naya Raipur.

     Chhattisgarh was created a new state on November 01, 2000 carving out from Madhya Pradesh and to house its new Secretariat, the DKS Bhawan hospital was then converted into the State Secretariat.

     After having a new Secretariat building at Naya Raipur the state government has decided to make it again a hospital.

     After the Mantralaya would be shifted to its new building at Naya Raipur, the DKS Bhawan would be used for extension of Dr Ambedkar Hospital of the Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College Raipur, official sources said.

    It has been decided that the Secretariat would start functioning from the new building from November 1, 2012, the foundation day of the state.
