     Raipur, July 30, 2010: The issue of death of several people in various diseases was today echoed in the Chhattisgarh assembly.

     Immediately after the question hour, the leader of opposition Ravindra Choubey said reports of deaths due to various diseases have been pouring in from various places of Bijapur, Chintalnar and the nearby areas for the last couple of days.

     At the time of undivided Madhya Pradesh once such report of death of 32 people came from Bijapur area and the then health Minister Gauri Shankar Sejwar had sent medical teams from Nagpur and Bhopal, but it was unfortunate now that even after formation of Chhattisgarh nothing was happening at Raipur.

     Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh intervening in the matter said a team of doctors was being sent from Jagdalpur and if needed, they would send medical team from Raipur also.

     Later on talking to ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com the Chief Minister said the state government was serious on the issue and every possible step is being taken in that matter.

     The health minister would also make a statement on the issue in the state assembly, the Chef Minister said.
