Raipur, April 16, 2012: Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today appointed Durgesh Chandra Mishra as the new Commissioner of Bastar where as Alok Awasthi is posted as the Managing Director of the Text Book Corporation.
The state government today issued posting of three promotee IAS officers, including Mishra as the Bastar Commissioner, the post lying vacant for some time now after the end of the deputation tenure of Sikkim cadre IAS K Sreenivasulu.
Mishra, a 1991 Batch officer, was earlier posted as the Member of the Board of Revenue.
A General Administration Department order also said Secretary Higher Secondary Board and Managing Director of State Text Book Corporation Jusuf Minj would be relieved from the Text Book Corporation and was posted as the Director Panchayat and Social Welfare Department as additional charge in place of Alok Awasthi.
Awasthi is posted as the MD Text Book Corporation, Raipur.
