Korba, November 17, 2008: BJP Prime Ministerial candidate L K Advani today charged the Congress of involved in dividing society on the basis of religion.
It was BJP which had given the good governance, whether it was during NDA rule or that of Raman Singh. Since people punish the wrong and reward the right people, the BJP should again be elected to form government in Chhattisgarh, Advani told an election meeting here in Korba district headquarters today.
However, Congress was involved in dividing society and for vote bank politics, terms like ‘Hindu Terrorist’ are used by Congress when no community or religion is involved in terrorism, he said.
It was Manmohan Singh government which had not only help in increase in prices but also in Andhra Pradesh the local Congress regime was giving Rs 1500 to minority students when Tribals and OBC are given just Rs 140 as scholarship, Advani said.
It was not that during NDA rule terrorism was not in the country, but Afzal Guru was sentenced to death for attack in Parliament, however, he was not hanged by Congress government, the senior BJP leader said adding had it been one Anand Singh and not Afzal Guru he would have been long back hanged.
Advani also praised the five years tenure of Raman Singh government and appealed to the people to vote for BJP on November 20 on the second phase of election in the state.
