Raipur, September 29, 2009: Chhattisgarh Governor ESL Narasimhan today met Bastar Lok Sabha MP Baliram Kashyap and expressed his deep sorrow over the death of his son Tansen, who was shot dead by Maoists at Bastar on September 26.
Reaching the Ramkrishna Care Hospital here the Governor met Kashyap, who is admitted there, and enquired about his health condition, officials said.
Narasimhan also expressed his deepest condolences over the death of Tansen, son of Baliram.
After completing the Astami Puja at Bedaguda, a village on the National Highway 43 near Bhanpuri, about 30 Km from Jagdalpur, when the entire Kashyap family was returning back four youths came in cycles and opened fire three rounds from a close range on Tansen.
Bullets hit the head and chest of Tansen. When his brother Dinesh came forward he received one bullet on his shoulder. Both were rushed to Maharani Hospital at Jagdalpur where Tansen was declared dead and the condition of Dinesh was improving gradually.
