     New Delhi, December 20, 2022: Amidst tussle with the state Congress government, Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey today met the President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

     The Governor today met the President and discussed various issues relating to Chhattisgarh, Raj Bhawan sources said.    

     The Governor had also appraised the President about various issues relating to the state, the sources said.

     Sources claimed, the Governor also informed the President about the recently passed Reservation bill of the state government, led by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and her stand on the issue.

     The Governor had refused to sign the bill and asked the officials to clarify on certain points pertaining to the percentage of populations of the SC, ST and OBC. Only after getting a satisfactory reply, she could consider giving her assent to the bill.

     Governor Uikey had also invited President Murmu for the Diamond Jubilee function on completion of the 75 years of the Government Nagarjun PG College Raipur and also for its convocation on January 12, next year, they said.

     The President had also been invited for a function on tribal women empowerment organised by the Adiwasi Shiv Sanskruti Samity district Narmadapuram being organised from February 12 to 18, next year.
