Mahasamund, April 12, 2010: Officials of Mahasamund district was seems not taking the directive of the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh seriously on the Gram Suraj Abhiyan.
The state Government had asked the team members of the Gram Suraj Abhiyan to spent night the villages, but it was complaint that in many places the teams were not going by the Government orders.
In one such case, one official was suspended for not spending night in the village, officials said.
After complaint of irregularities, District Collector Niharika Barik made a surprise visit to one such village of Bagbahara area and on the complaint of Tamore village, the head of the Gram Suraj team a Head Master Budan Singh Thakur had been placed under suspension, they said.
