Raipur, March 19, 2011: Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt and Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh have greeted the people on the colour festival of Holi.
Let Holi fire burnt the sorrow of people and their lives become colourful with happiness and prosperity, the Governor said in a message.
The Governor has also underlined the importance of adopting herbal colours instead of chemicals and said people should take adequate safety measures to save themselves from harmful chemicals and colours during Holi.
In this country of unity among diversity, Holi reflected the character of national integration and social cohesiveness, Chief Minister Singh said in a message.
While greeting the people on this occasion, the Chief Minister also appealed to them not to mix alcohol with colours, saying intoxication of any kind destroy the human lives.
