Raipur, February 13, 2013: BJP central leadership today praised the public distribution system of Chhattisgarh and said they are quite hopeful the Raman government would make a hat trick in the state election.
“I am sure the BJP will make hat trick in Chhattisgarh,” BJP national President Rajnath Singh told reporters here today.
“I also congratulate Chhattisgarh government for its Food Security Act,” he said adding for its “transparent and decentralize PDS system, the entire nation is praising Chhattisgarh.”
Among other things the state BJP government had brought a transparent and efficiency in the PDS in the state, Rajnath said in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and others.
To a question about making a “controversial figure” Narendra Modi as the Prime Ministerial candidate, Singh refused to accept Modi as controversial one and said it was the central parliamentary board of his party, which would decide, who would be their prime ministerial candidate.
Strongly attacking the Congress-led government at the Centre, the BJP President also said “in international scenario, the image of India has adversely been affected and the UPA government at New Delhi is responsible for that”.
“The economy of the country has been derailed and it seems no one has control over that” Singh said adding there was huge budgetary and current account deficit in the union budget.
The income disparity between poor and rich has increased and on the inflation front, all the government plans have been failed, he said adding “the Central government is under the clutches of corruption”.
Referring to the Italian helicopter scam, he said the Rs 3700 crore scam was exposed by the Italian investigating agency, where as Indian agencies have failed to unearth any such thing.
Rajnath also accused neighbouring Pakistan of trying to internationalize the recent border dispute issue, mentioning about the two Indian soldiers brutally killed on the LoC.
Pakistan was not going by its “diplomatic commitment” and its Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar had asked the Organisation of Islamic Countries to “interfere to check how LoC was being violated”, Singh said.
Pakistan was also pumping in fake currency notes in to India through Nepal, he said.
“Pakistan should be warned and the diplomatic level should also be scaled down,” the BJP President said.
“Pakistan and China are staring at India”, he also said adding “has India become so weak that China is refusing to recognize Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir as part of India”?
“India should directly talk to China on water dispute issue,” Singh said.
“China was constructing dam on the Brahmaputra river, which should strongly be opposed,” he said.
India should directly talk to China on the Brahmaputra issue and there should be water treaty between Beijing and New Delhi, Singh said adding “if needed Bangladesh should also be included in that”.
