Raipur, March 03, 2010: Resident Editor of Hitavada Raipur Deen Dayal Purohit passed away this evening.
Purohit took ill while working in the office of The Hitavada and was rushed to the Ramkrishna Care Hospital on February 27 in a serious condition.
Doctors attending him had said he was having a neurological surgery and put in ventilator due to his critical condition.
This evening he breathed his last at the hospital, Hitavada General Manager Srikant Sakalkar said.
The last rite of Purohit would be held at his native place Nagpur.
He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a son, who is a journalist at Nagpur, his office staff said.
