Raipur, December 29, 2011: Congress today expressed concern over the reported cases of human trafficking and farmers committing suicide in Chhattisgarh, and blamed the state BJP government for the said.
Because of bad governance of the BJP government, farmers have committed suicide in 2011 and human trafficking was continuing uninterrupted, PCC President Nand Kumar Patel and Congress Legislature Party Leader Ravindra Choubey claimed in a press release.
Between 2008 and September 2011, a total of 17365 women and young girls have been missing and the Government was not serious towards the issue, the Congress leaders alleged.
Due to loan burden or related matters, reports of farmers committing suicide has been pouring in from various parts of the state, including Raigarh, Jashpur and Raipur districts, they claimed.
The situation was turning into worse because of non-serious attitude of the state BJP government, both the leaders claimed.
