Raipur, Feb 23, 2010: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today said the state was not getting adequate finance for rural electrification programme.

Replying to a question of Dayal Das Baghel of BJP, the Chief Minister told the state assembly that the state was getting inadequate funds from the Centre for the rural electrification under the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Programme.

Singh said the state government was serious towards total electrification of all the villages and habitats in the state.

However, Chhattisgarh was not getting sufficient fund from the centre for that, he added.
