Raipur, May 26, 2025: Chhattisgarh is going to take another big leap towards realizing the dream of developed India. The country’s reputed company Karamveer Electronics Limited presented a proposal to set up a state-of-the-art transformer manufacturing unit in Raipur to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
More than Rs 300 crore will be invested in this unit, which will make Chhattisgarh one of the largest transformer manufacturing centers in the country.

On this occasion, the company’s Managing Director Vivek Jain met the Chief Minister at Chhattisgarh Sadan, New Delhi. In the meeting, the outline of the proposed project, investment possibilities and dimensions of employment generation were discussed in detail.
Jain said that this unit will be the most advanced transformer manufacturing unit in the country from a technical point of view, which will prove to be a milestone in meeting the needs of the energy sector in future.
Welcoming the investment proposal, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said, “Our aim is that Chhattisgarh becomes a strong pillar in the creation of a developed India 2047. This investment is not just an industrial unit but a strong step towards the technical capability and self-reliance of Chhattisgarh. The state government will provide all possible support to this project.”

This project will accelerate the modernisation of the power sector in the state, employment for local youth, and industry-based development.
This initiative especially strengthens the slogan of “Make in Chhattisgarh”, where now transformers made with state-of-the-art technology will illuminate the entire country.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh and Investment Commissioner of Chhattisgarh in New Delhi Ritu Sein were also present.
